Description
Flashes of bright yellow warp ikat between the carefully laid out blue and white handspun cotton stripes of this attractive Igarra woman’s wrapper cloth from a small town in central Nigeria. This cloth was woven in two wide panels by a woman using the upright loom, likely around the 1960s. It is in excellent condition.
Measurements 72 inches x 56 1/2, 182 cm x 143.
