Charming 1970s Fante Asafo flag from Ghana with a woman chief (at left) pointing towards a lion and lion cub in a decorative thicket of bushes. The text is the title “Safohen” (Asafo chief) and the name Apiawa. She has a characteristic old style Fante woman’s hairstyle. There’s a small patch repair in the Ghana flag and slight colour run on the upper border, otherwise good neat condition.
Measurements 5’7″ x 3’6″, 170 cm x 106.
