Description
Beautiful soft hand spun indigo striped cotton strip weave chief’s cloth from the Bondoukou region of north eastern Ivory Coast. Yellow and red stripes are carefully aligned across the field of the cloth and their colours muted pleasingly by the blue warps. This quite rare cloth dates from circa 1930-1950 and is in excellent condition.
Measurements 9’11” x 6’2″, 304 cm x 187.
