Description
A multitude of variations on a subtle textured effect are the main features of this classic blue and white cotton Asante kente men’s cloth. Dating from circa 1930-1950, pairs of dark indigo blue blocks frame narrow weft stripes across the strips, each given a textured effect by leaving the weft pick loose. There are a few slight variations in colour on the white background in places, otherwise very good neat condition.
Measurements 11′ x 6’4″, 336 cm x 192.
