Description
Just traces of stripes along the strips in the sandy ground of this austere mid-century Yoruba cotton “sanyan” woman’s wrapper cloth from Nigeria. Rows of woven holes cross each strip. Dates from circa 1960 and is in excellent condition. A great piece for making cushions/pillows or other interiors uses. Measurements 6’6″ x 5′ 5″, 198 cm x 166.
