Description
Large decorative late C20th cloth from a Senufo or Dioula weaver in northern Ivory Coast. A supplementary weft float border frames a carefully planned layout of float patterning across the field of the cloth. This type of design evolved from older Dioula textiles but Senufo (Senari speaking) weavers also adopted the designs over the second half of the C20th. In excellent complete condition, this quite lightweight cloth would make a great bed cover.
