Description
Offbeat rows of purple weft float patterning framed by rows of characteristic Yoruba asooke openwork and white threads on this mid century woman’s cloth. I can’t recall seeing this colour floats on the beige “sanyan” cotton ground before. In excellent condition. Dates from circa 1960s.
Measurements 80 inches x 47, 203 cm x 120.
