Description
Pale blue threads zigzag like waves along each strip of this mid C20th Yoruba asooke cloth from Nigeria. This piece (one of a set of three cloths worn together) is the only time I have seen coloured threads used to create versions of this pattern, usually they are the same beige as the background. In excellent condition, one small faint mark at one end.
Measurements 6’3″ x 3’8″, 191 cm x 111.
