Description
FR674 – Women’s wrapper cloth from the Baule people of southern Ivory Coast with a dramatic design created by over dyeing a completed strip weave cloth with a bold tie dyed pattern. This technique was popular among the Baule and Dioula peoples of Ivory Coast, and at times produced very distinctive results as shown here. Dates from around the 1970s. In very good condition.
Measurements: 65 ins x 42 ins, 165 cm x 108 cm.
