Description
In a tradition not given to understatement in recent decades, this minimal black and white pinstriped Yoruba asooke wrapper cloth is quite unusual. Blocks of magenta weft stripes are scattered over the cloth, muted by the predominance of the warp. Woven in the 1960s or 1970s this is probably a copy of a nineteenth century piece. In good condition.
Measurements: 6’1″ x 4’2″, 186 cm x 127.
