Description
Neatly woven version of one of the more elaborate Fulani wool kaasa blanket designs, called a kaasa laandaaka. The larger blocks of weft float patterning represent the mud built mosques for which the Sahel is famous. Dating from circa 1960s. This cloth has been hung up as a curtain for many years and needs careful hand washing (NOT machine washing !)
Measurements 8’5″ x 4’6″, 256 cm x 119.
