Description
The Asafo officer, the supi, in blue, wearing an amulet covered war tunic, points towards the aftermath of a fight. The victim lies on the ground while the perpetrator runs away.
Fine Asafo flag by the prolific and long lived master flagmaker of the Anomabo workshop, Kwamina Amoaku (1895-1985) – See Forni & Ross, Art, Honor, and Ridicule (2017:61-62) for a discussion of this significant figure and the Anomabo workshop with which he was associated. Dates from circa 1960s. In excellent condition.
