Description
A herd of elephants grazes across the grey and off-white ground of this fine mid century Yoruba asooke woman’s wrapper cloth. Elephants were of course a symbol of power and importance in Yoruba culture. Dates from circa 1950-1960 and is in excellent complete condition. Measurements 5’11” x 4’9″, 182 cm x 144.
