Description
The hand spun cotton weft gives a pleasing soft texture to this 1960s Hausa “luru” cloth from northern Nigeria. Two sets of three “crowns” (actually I think called “knives”, flank the central striped section. Lower sale price reflects the slight pinkish colour run throughout. Otherwise in good neat condition.
Measurements: 8’10” x 4’8″, 269 cm x 141.
