Description
Softer colours and a predominance of red and yellow in the weft blocks and float motifs distinguish this neatly woven version of the classic Ewe blue and white “guineafowl” check pattern of this pleasing kente chief’s cloth. Some unusual composite animal motifs. Dates from circa 1930s and has a couple of small old patches, otherwise in very good neat condition.
Measurements 9’1″ x 6’5″, 277 cm x 196.
