Description
Unusually large brown and white check mid-century Yoruba asooke cloth from Nigeria. An irregular array of brown weft float stripes at each end of the cloth frame a central section of woven openwork with characteristic floating threads. In excellent complete condition. These strong cloths are great for pillows, upholstery, and other interiors uses.
Measurements 7’8″ x 5’3″, 233 cm x 159 cm.
