A bit kitsch perhaps but also a virtuoso piece of strip weaving, carefully aligning the float patterning to form the picture. Village life in Burkina Faso by a weaver of the Bobo or Bwa peoples, late C20th. I particularly like the lady sitting under a tree spinning cotton. In excellent condition.
