Description
Fine mid C20th Yoruba asooke woman’s wrapper cloth with staggered blocks of openwork bisected by a single berry red warp stripes. Sets of three red weft stripes are almost concealed by the beige cotton “sanyan” warp threads. In excellent complete condition. These strong cloths make excellent wall hangings or furnishing fabrics for pillows or small upholstery projects.
Measurements 6’5″ x 4’1″, 194 cm x 125.
