Pleasingly austere design with this Yoruba woman’s asooke shawl dating from around the 1920s. Three different classic asooke pattern strips, two of them with ikat, frame strips of soft feeling indigo hand spun cotton striped cloth. This neat very wearable cloth is in excellent condition.
